scenario maker

OK so I have just created a new unit in the HISTORICAL thingy , I saved and closed the HISTORICAL editor . Next I loaded my scenario NORDWIND , all good , map is in view , I select UNITS , I select a hex to place in , I select place historical unit , so the list comes up and there is my unit I created , the 274th Infantry Regiment , I click to place the unit on the hex but get error message , I choose QUIT and we are back to desk top .
