But, in the _eventErrors.txt file, there is only:

####Game Events

And, in the _aiScriptErrors.txt file, there is only:

##Start Debug Scripts
#_giveUnit.txt
#_gatherLand.txt
#_invasion.txt
#_transport.txt
#_gatherAir.txt
#_gatherNaval.txt
#_changeOrder
#_changeBuild.txt
#_grandStrategy.txt
##End Debug Scripts

So, does it mean there is something wrong? Or, does it mean there is nothing wrong?
Chancellor Gorkon to Captain James T. Kirk:
You don't trust me, do you? I don't blame you. If there is to be a brave new world, our generation is going to have the hardest time living in it.

I get errors if I do not pick a campaign to load the scripts from.

Normally....

You create a campaign.
Copy scripts to the new campaign directory.
Edit them.
Open editor.
Click on Load/Save.
Chose the campaign you are working with...
Click Load Scripts.

Then save

Keep in mind I am not 100% sure what you are exactly doing so this is a guess.
