Re-fueling

Distant Worlds is a vast, pausable real-time, 4X space strategy game which models a "living galaxy" with incredible options for replayability and customizability. Experience the full depth and detail of large turn-based strategy games, but with the simplicity and ease of real-time, and on the scale of a massively-multiplayer online game. Now greatly enhanced with the new Universe release, which includes all four previous releases as well as the new Universe expansion!

Re-fueling

Post by davidjruss »

Probably missed this somewhere so will ask this stupid question from someone who has had the game and all the DLC's since they came out, playing DW1 but not understanding the following :-

1) When I request a ship or Fleet to refuel at,say,a Space Port , from where is the Caslon etc taken? Is it taken from the Fuel Cells or from any Caslon that may be in the Cargo Bays? In effect should I try to maximise the number of Fuel Cells on a Space Port or Mining Base to ease Refueling or should I increase the amount of Cargo Space instead?

A silly question I know after all this time and with DW2 only a month away but I may be in the same situation with the new game.

Any help would be appreciated.

The fuel is taken from the cargo bay of the space port.

I may remember incorrectly, but you do not need cargo on a space port. It all comes from the colony.

Correct. All cargo is stored on the planet and you can check it by looking at cargo storage of the planet and then any base in orbit. They are the same.

Cargo holds on bases need to be large enough to hold whatever a large freighter is carrying but I always add a bit more.
