As well all know the axis allies are one pump chumps. They can in optimum circumstances repel or push a large attack, and afterwards have to have an extensive refit/finding good spots. This is especially true in later scenarios where you cant train them up in 41. Even a Romanian in 43 stacked with 2 full strength German divisions will take much much higher casualties across the board (including non frontline units) compared to the Germans even in defense on a level 3 fort hold.

There should be an option to bring Axis Allied units to the reserves and then place an attache German general with them to raise their experience and morale permanently to German levels until the unit becomes depleted. A corp at a time and taking say 2 months to under go the retraining. At which time both the General and divisions are unavailable.

There is precedent in this, especially with the German trained units in China.
