How to Update a Modded Scenario With Live Changes

Want to make a scenario that is divergent from live, but gets the fixes. How easy is it to do said updates? Or would I need to make all the live scenario changes myself too?

I am using the export/import CVS functions to add the changes introduced via the live patches into my modded scenario. This works for individual units but (in my case) the introduction of additinal airbases meant that I have to manually re-assign all air groups to their AOGs and to the updated airbases.
