Enemy step into it's own IED's

Report about AI:
When I played DPB#2 scenario, I found French troops walking out of the bunker and step into hexes with IED.
They have triggered a explosion and take some casualties. Is this a bug or normal?
I think there will be a little chance to trigger the IED or mines in same side.
