playing on the second monitor

How can I switch the game to second - extended monitor?

I am not sure its possible. The game has been made to work on multiple monitor setups, but not optimized for it as I do not actually use multiple monitors.

One thing you might try is to configure the windows.txt file in the same directory as the Ardennes.exe

dpi_by_windows=off
windowed_mode=on
windowed_mode_w=1280
windowed_mode_h=768

and then you might be able to at least drag the window to another monitor?

Best way is to define the main monitor. That way, the game will always start at the designated monitor.
