I decided to move the bulk of my air force into the reverse box, firstly a lot of didn't like being there decided to move back onto the map no matter how many times I put them back into the reserve.

However a number of them liked the place and seem to want to stay permanently or will only go to the Soviet garrison box.

Only thing is the Soviet garrison box only requires ground forces so i wont be putting planes squadrons in there.

Also my theatre box setup is locked meaning its the auto setup i don't play manual setup so they may there for the entire game if i cant find a way to get them out.

My guess would be that you are trying to take them out of the reserves the turn after they arrived there. The units have to remain in the reserves a full turn before they are eligible to come back. Otherwise, not sure.

Check to make sure that the Air AI is not enabled in your options screen. This has been known to flip on/off on its own in rare instances.
