Replacements?

Replacements?

Post by jzardos »

I have read a few posts and I think my issues is a bit different and still needs answers. I'm using replacement cards as Germans but only a small portion of those are going to troops. There are troops requesting items sitting in Army Group B, but not getting them in later turns. All units still at the default of 100% to except replacements. So the question is what could be blocking units from getting their requested replacements? Units are in supply and not cut off.

I guess creating a KG with the excess units in Army Group B is a possibility too, but would rather get the replacements to units in the field.

thanks

You need to change the repl prio to higher than 100% for the troops you need the rpl badly. It should work that way.

Basically putting REPL = PRIO is a really good idea, because there are many units that are missing troops. And other units might get priority. Furthermore make really sure the replacements needed are actually available. You can mouse over the Integrity symbol of the unit to get a break down of its ideal state and reinforcement types. Not only the reinforcement type needs to be available, but it also needs to be of the correct people (SS, Wehr, FJ)

Best wishes,
Vic

I've experimented with replacements in the smaller scenarios and they work fine but only because there are few units, so you can set PRIO to those units which really need them badly. But on the large scenarios and campaign games it's really not practical because of the large number of units.

My suggestion is to allocate replacements to subordinate HQs from the highest HQ rather than to individual units. Within the subordinate HQ it could be further refined to lower level HQs or individual units.
