Why are my exploration ships derping to the end of the galaxy?

Suddenly half my exploration ships decided that theres nothing more important than to travel to the end of the galaxy towards some unknown systems.

Even thought my home region of stars isn't even fully discovered yet.

Whats going on here?

i guess your explorers want to boldy go where noone went before and find the edge of the universe.


but yea that shouldnt happen for several reasons... not nearby, way out of fuel range, even the pathfinding at that nebular is a total mess and should be two jumps and not 7 in a circle there before they path aroudn the nebular.

try to give the ships a manual move order so it resets their orders and then set them back to automate and see if they keep picking such routes.

go to the tech support forum, there a topic about "report your issue here" with a link to a web page where you can make a post for the devs with this issue... attach a screenshot and savegame too.
maybe that galaxy generation seed somehow thinks that system is the nearest... or the devs can get some info out of the save why the ships path this way.

This happened once to me too. Did you, by any chance, use the game editor to add a star system or star, or to delete a star system or star? That's what I did the one time it happened

I haven't messed with adding/removing stars since then, and the issue hasn't reappeared.

Yeah I removed a star in the editor.
