Game crashes from save file

The attached file contains a save game that makes the game exit before re-starting. I thought this might aid in fixing any bugs.

Just noticed from installation notes of 1.0.1.8 that there is a log file with crash information in it. For my load game failure, I found this:-

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at DistantWorlds2.DWGame.EndLoadGame()
at DistantWorlds2.DWGame.Update(GameTime gameTime)

Originally this had header:
Distant Worlds - Crash Dump - Version 1.0.1.6
but the later failed load attempt had version 1.0.1.8
