Lack of options in diplomacy?

Post by H0ri70n3 »

1.)
In my game I have "liberated" a colony of a friendly (non-allied) faction.

I now want to give this colony back to my friends.
(As a gift)
But I have not found an option to do so.

2.)
In DWU you could threaten opponents with war, if they do not agree to peace with my friends.
Did I miss something or is this no longer possible?

Also we need to be able to subjugate and vassalize other races.

Is this not an option? The Mortalen racial victory conditions include "Subjugate the most empires in the galaxy". Although I've not seen the option for it in-game yet (albeit I've not had many wars). I guess it could just be a synonym here for conquer or eliminate?

Yeah, seems to be missing.

Also missing is asking for technology in peace deals. The AI will offer it, but the user can only ask for bases because we have bad relations during wars :D

Also I don't think allies is working, even at +100 with smaller empires, nobody seems interested.

Yeah, I've not been able to get anything more than free trade + galaxy map sharing + migration treaty.

Nothing is “missing”. You’ll just have to wait until they release the Diplomacy Dlc…

I don't think so. They will fix it when they will resolve performance and CTD issue first.

Very salty, but yes at the moment there is no reason to play peacefully.

Also missing is the option, as in DWU, to declare war because my neighbor was attacked.

According to the motto: make peace or I attack.

I always found influencing other nations particularly appealing. Just like it was possible in DWU.
