[1.0.2.1] CTD when zooming in or out

CTD when zooming in or out, sometimes. This happens about every 10 minutes or so. I can't find any crash logs.

I can get this to CTD pretty regularly by clicking on a notification to "take me there" (especially a ship), then as soon as I get there I start scrolling in and out quickly with the mouse wheel.

Same with me , CTD's when zooming in and out when using the mousewheel.

I have never had CTD's using the mousewheel before the current version.

I have the same issue. Never had it before 1.0.2.1. Crash when using the mousewheel to zoom. No crash log generated, just session log.

Another data point, it usually crashes pretty fast into my game (like first 5 minutes), or it takes much longer.

Seems like some streaming race condition where once everything is loaded in, there are no more issues. Maybe preload the assets instead of trying to get fancy if the machine has the resources?
