Batavia, turn 1

Post by Duck Doc »

Was watching a YouTube video by Strategy Gaming Dojo in July 2021 of a game against a human opponent as the Japanese in which Batavia was taken on turn 1 causing the Dutch to surrender. Is this still possible with the current version?

No, the current version is more historical. You need to invade Malaya and Borneo first. Then, you can go after Sumatra and Java.

Beginning of January, 1942, you can secure 25 oil points on Borneo plus 3 oil points in Japan for your production. Then, you can start going after DEI.

Going right after DEI at start can cripple all your oil. Borneo is the historical and secure option.

You don't trust me, do you? I don't blame you. If there is to be a brave new world, our generation is going to have the hardest time living in it.
