[1.0.2.6] Game keeps locking up/not responding

My game keeps locking up and not responding. This has started since the last two patches (I think). I have tried the different steps like turning off music, going windowed, lensflare off, verifying files and deleting savegames and settings files. I have tried four different new games small and large and even in the early stages the problems turn up making the game unplayable.

I wanted to include a savegame file but the forum does not allow files larger than 10 MB so even zipped the file is too large

Please try the new 1.0.2.8 update, which should resolve this.
