Editor doesn't work after updating to version 1.08

Only a black window with some texts shows up very shortly and vanishes again. After that nothing else happens.

Hi Easter80,

Could you try running/launching the Editor direct from the Editor EXE as found in the installation folder to see if that might work?

Just trying to understand what the issue might be on your end and if it is Launcher related.

The installation path for the Matrix version of the game is typically the following:

\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command - World War l

The editor also doesn't start with the .exe file directly double clicking in the the path of the program.

Thanks and that helps narrow things down, and since nothing has really changed the only thing I can think of is perhaps your anti-virus software is getting in the way?

Could you try whitelisting the Editor and maybe even the path in the Documents folder for where the Editor accesses the initialization and other game files to see if this helps?

I've given permission for everybody who uses the computer. Not the admin only. It still doesn't work.

That's a strange one then, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that helps?

The other thing you could try is to navigate to the Documents folder for the game and deleting the editor.ini file to see if that resets things and helps.

Typically this folder can be found here, e.g. replace <username> with the username on your PC:

\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI
