Steam: what is saved in the cloud?

Post by TheFerret »

I bought on release and switched to the Steam version a while back.

Today I installed a new drive and moved a bunch of games and got some extra Steam notifications as a result. One was for WitE2, when I opened it: "Steam Cloud save {3 days ago}, local save {today}".

That got me thinking, what's saved in the Steam cloud? Do I need to worry about this for multiplayer?

I use Steam, I don’t know how it works but seems to run pretty well behind the scenes without much thought from me. I have a hth game on the server

You can change the settings (can’t remember where) to use the latest beta version automatically.

Got the same message after updating. I chose wrong (local I think), and it reset my preferences (music off, no intro video) back to the original settings.
