AOG show but no aircraft

I have been setting up air missions and get 2 AOG etc. However, when I look at the map there is 2 AOG showing but no aircraft groups (e.g. 51,2,12).

Another problem is how does one:

Remove aircraft from a mission (I want the Ju 88 for something else) and add them elsewhere.

The Lufftw' groups frequently overlap and this makes finding stuff very messy. Has anyone found a technique to simplify this? I'd rather like to have distinct blocks of operation.
