Moving AIR GROUPS - there must be a better way ...

Situation:

LF2 has lots of Ju88 etc and I want to move these south to help much needed southern advance.

1) If I "allocate them" to LF 4 I am not sure what this achieves apart from changing the color of the group.

2) With all the detail of the game instead of manual handing ( manhandling ?) individual group to each new base a somewhat tricky operation in itself is it possible - or could it be in the future - to actually use the tools at hand.

There is an airbase in the north , say, and I want to either move the AIRBASE units to AIRBASE XYZ in the south, thus keeping with that set of handling/game turn etc OR move AIRGROUP (sometimes multiple) to another AIRGROUP.

Within the concept of this allocating air groups ( example 1 above) bares no relation to actually strengthening LF 4.

Soo in the second point IS there a way to not manually (read fiddly operation) nicely move air units in a way that uses a better option at ones fingertips.

In summary NOT use the "white box" method of transfer....

Do you want to move an entire AOG of JU88 air groups, or just 1 or 2 air groups? What is the issue with using the shift/ctrl white box method of transferring air units between airbases? You can very quickly transfer 1 air unit or all units in an AOG to one base using the ctrl-transfer. Moving the entire AOG and then changing what HQ it is attached to is fastest, but you can send just 1 or 2 units if you want by clicking on the aog on the map, clicking on one of the airbases on the map that contains units in the AOG, then clicking on the units you want to transfer. You still have to do the white box method of transfer, and then reattach the units to a new AOG.
