Japanese advances in China

Post by Taifun »

v1.12.00 1939 Campaigns changes says:

"Japanese advances in China can now stimulate the US and India moving 8-15% towards the Allies. The triggers being an Axis unit within 3 hexes of Yenan, or within 2 hexes of Sian, Lanchow or Chungking (Jackmck)".

In a recent game the Japanese player advanced simultaneously to within 2 hexes of Sian, Chungking and Kweichow and only 1 penalty applied to stimulate the US mobilization. Has someone else experienced problems with the Japanese advances in China? Does Kweichow also stimulate the US?

@Taifun
This works as intended, US mobilization bonus is applied once only. Also, in recent patch Kweichow stimulates mobilization too (earlier it didn't, it was fixed).

Thanks Marcinos! I didn't know that it was applied only once!!! That is a big difference... :roll: As Axis I will play more aggressively from now on!

Tread carefully with China though...In a current MP match, I had to launch a surprise attack on the Americans in Oct 1941 because I was a little too successful at Kweichow. Up ended my carefully planned rampage on its head. :o

Japan would do better to play less aggressively in China as to not trigger US mobilization at first, but then attack Russia and then US early. China will survive but Russia will be at more risk of surrendering.

It's a good change, though I stepped into a pile of 'It' pushing the Japanese up China's backdoor towards Chungking. 😶
