[Model Design][interface] Better UI - Aircraft and Tank Mockups

Post by Pymous »

Hello guys, hello Vic,
Like many already suggested, an improvement for Model design would be great

Here is another concept for example:
Image

Some explanations:
- small icons represent technolgies required to unlock parts (ingame images used)
- greyed text/images = unavailable
- mouseover parts type = more details about bonus/malus of weapons vs armor (not shown on mockup)

It was inspired mainly by:
- Pratapon51 mock-up (https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 2&t=361619)
- Community comments / discussion
- My previous quick mockup https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... s#p4847612

EDIT: Mockup for Aircrafts designs:

Don't hesitate to comment / give more ideas so we can continue to improve our mockups for Vic :p

Stop Pymous, I can only get so Erect

Jokes aside it looks awesome, will it would be great for tanks, it is necessary for the air design screen and, if we ever get it, to the sea units design screen.

I love where you're going with this.
Have you considered also doing one with dropdowns instead of radio buttons? It may mean more clicks to make the design, but would make for cleaner page formatting as the list of items grows.

Good point. But a bigger page would work too, still using radio buttons, which I just learned they are called. I would like to see the whole design scheme on one big page, big enough to display everything it needs, even comically big would be cool, but with all of the options visible at once, along with where your current selections are in the order of each component category, and the outputs.

That would be really awesome. Right now I probably need at least 20 clicks to figure out a decent design and much more to find what I consider the optimal one.
