Artillery Targeting

Shouldn't artillery be able to target towns and villages, as well as enemy units? I seem to be able to target only enemy units. If you can target them I have not yet figured out how to do it.

Also shouldn't a village/town hex get destroyed by arty creating a rubble hex? Again if the game does this I missed it. St. Vith was flattened after the Fortified Goose Egg pulled out by B-26's! It rendered St. Vith unusable as a rail head or supply depot.

There should be an ability to bombard hexes not just units. Right now with invisible units there is no way to deal with them other than suffering an ambush.

If you can boost the recon points on the town or hex, you might be able to determine an enemy unit is in the hex so that you can target it.

Just thought of that as I was about to chime in that it would be nice to be able to send a patrol to a hex to look around... I'm dense. LoL

In the hex tab on the right side of the screen there is the artillery attack button. Best wishes vic
