Is this WAD? Some other battles had VERY high number of Soviet bombers too.

I have also noticed that the Soviet bombers way more effective than Germans. Probably I just sux at the game is the only reason why. Anyway, wish I had the Soviets CRT instead of my German CRT.

I made that present in my Soviet AAR already quite some time ago, especially after the LW nerf and now the LW cannot cope anymore, and even in many occasions get shot down merrily in '41.

These are from my AAR vs Deaniks (Game is pretty much shored as of now). Here this is with a patch where IF the LW intercepted, was shooting down a lot of Russians. But where the LW is absent or does not intercept...

The third, hundredS, plural, not even needed. When IL-2 are around - these are the numbers you can see.

The game is based on weekly turn. How long a battle is supposed to last? One day or several days?

I was told that the top end of how many bombers to participate in a battle was 300ish. Just from the pictures we are way over 300. Is this many bombers, over 300, WAD?

Will unlikely is not never, and there are a lot of Soviet planes available in the early turns. I don't think the routine that assigns the number of bombers is likely to change until someday when Pavel might have a look and tie them better into the air doctrine values. Gary has looked at these routines, and IIRC, the last time he looked at it (which was many months ago), he didn't want to work on it again. I have seen these kinds of big numbers in another 43 scenario I've been working on so I know it is possible, not just in 41.

I have noticed these numbers as well vs the Soviet AI.

Was rather surprised the Soviet VVS command and control structure had recovered to the point of being able to coordinate the kinds of large-scale air support operations.

Does anyone have a pre-save or can you point me at a server game where I could download saves where I can recreate a 500 a/c commitment in ground support. Gary is very surprised to see the large number, especially in battles between very few units. So there may in fact be a bug in that routine, but we won't know without a save where we can duplicate it. If you have a situation, please send the save or tell me what players if a server game, and let me know where to launch the attack (and if a server game, what turn to download). Thanks.

I replied to you in PM with Beethoven comments attached on what he did on the Soviet Side to accomplish this. I also think that Jasonboomer just posted something in Tech Support too and asked him to post his specifics. But if you can get the beginning of my T2 your should be able to attack in the center with an Armor division and watch it melt away as the Soviet bombers nuke it to death.

Also NOTE that the bombers LOVE to key on PAK37's. Mentioned this on the BETA forums if I remember correctly.

Here is another server game (screen shot from a coupe of weeks ago versus Veterin, turn 9) who managed to fly almost 400 bombers against the Axis who could only respond with a totally ineffectual stuka strike. Looking through my screen shots, this is exceptionally large but I am fairly regularly seeing 200 soviet bombers attack me. I typically have 200 of fighters in the area, and again, this shot is is an execption where I can get more than 100 Axis fighters off the ground to counter them (Perhaps on this occasion explained by having ground support on).
