Sentinels appear out of nowhere

Playing with the latest patch. A unit of 10x sentinels just appeared in the middle of my zone only two hexes from my capital. They are not friendlies. Is that WAD or a bug? Thanks.

Strange, the only time I've seen sentinels spawning like that is when you fail the event with the supercomputer/AI.

It is not a strategem/card but a random event. If you fail the roll the super AI get's angry and summons some sentinels in the zone
