How to get RPG's into infantry units?

Research tree has RPG's green, mouse over reads you can give them to your units, but how? I cannot figure out how to get them into my units. Not a choice during design process, don't see them as an upgrade. What am I missing here?

You need to either discover and develop the RPG Infantry with the Staff council. Or customize an existing formation to add RPG troops.

Model Design -> Create models that carry RPGs
Staff Council -> Create formations of infantry that can carry RPG, once you have models for it.

This is a common misconception. You have to realize that infantry models are separate things:

* Basic Infantry: Carries assault rifles/carbines
* MG Infantry: Carries MG weapons
* RPG Infantry: Carries RPG weapons
etc.

These infantry units are NOT interchangeable, i.e. you can never upgrade your basic infantry to carry MG weapons and you can never tell your MG infantry to carry assault rifles.

The only way to integrate RPG infantry into your existing armies is to create Independent formations of RPG infantry and then attach them to the existing armies. You can attach up to 2 independent units into an army.
