Game flow Question

Post by scout1 »

First of all, excuse my ignorance relative to this game series ... Never exposed to it before ....

Is this a turn based game, real time game, or a hybrid where there is a time limit to issues orders) ? I'm thinking the later
as the predecessor has PBEM options .... I've just downloaded the manual from the predecessor just to get an idea but would appreciate it if someone could provide a high level overview .....

The game is classified as a WEGO game. Sides issue orders in a time stopped orders phase and then the actions are resolved in a "real-time" resolution phase. In our case, the WEGO is asynchronous as the sides enter orders based upon their current command cycle. That cycle can change as the battle rages and losses are incurred.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
