1268.2 HARMs not working passively

Even though the target(s) are radiating, I get an error saying that the target is not radiating and the dual-mode ARM cannot be fired. Once I get visual or radar targeting information, the AARGMs can fire, but without getting that information, I'm unable to fire at the targets.

Did you try it with an EA-18 that is organic to the db? I suspect it might be something to do with the lashed up HARM on an A-10.

I went ahead and put an EA-18 with a few HARMs and the immediately fired HARMs at all radiating SAM radars. I noted that the EA-10s had a loadout of "Reserve". I used shift F1 to force the EA-10 to fire and they fired. I also changed the ROW to opportunity fire and they fired on their own immediately. They had a good lock and no issues launching. I think sometimes how units firing weapons depends on loadouts if they are not given direct orders, have proper ROE for their loadout, or assigned to a mission.

I tried it with a Super Hornet and had the same issue. I even added the HTS to both the EA-10D I created and the Super Hornet and had no luck. It was only when I used the Super Hornets radar that I could get a firing solution.

Did you try the things I pointed out? You are doing something wrong. I got it to work immediately with the EA-18 with no changes. Again, note the loadout listed for you A-10. Its listed as reserve. You have to make sure ROE and WRA are set properly if create Franken-planes like the EA-10.

Just checked. Change the ROE to opportunity fire and the one A-10 ripples off all HARMs. Note that YOU manually set the other A-10 to hold fire.

Also noted that you mentioned turning on the A-10 radars. I don't think they have active radar. Only RWR and ECM.

There is also something weird with your scenario. The A-10s are almost undetectable. The EA-18s get targeted immediately. In fact, on some run throughs, the EA-18s don't even get a chance to fire because they are evading SAMs. But the A-10s never get shot at.
