New game hanging problem...when clicking on Thai land units

Game has been perfect for ages - now have an issue when I click on land units usually Thai ones for some reason the game locks up , hangs and cannot get it out of that mode. What is wrong??

I have or had an issue with WITE 2 which would not start up at pretty much the same time . Has a windows update done anything of can things just fall apart over time , have windows 10 not upgraded.

This issue seem to have got a bit worse - so what is the fix a re install - that will be a fag as I have not done that for a very long time.Or is there something else.

I am running my mod but everything ahs been fine for 18 months, no changes to these units, also started a new save as version adding in the Thai units ( that trigger the problem) on Dec 7th all is fine.

Could this be a problem if say Thai 41 Infantry trying to upgrade to Tai 43 infantry and that component is trying to go back as upgrade back to 41, as the 43 upgrade forgot to delete the 41 when creating the 43 squad and should now be ok if it stays at 43? Did I form a kind of bad loop??

If you restart and click the same unit again does it still lock?
