[RESOLVED][1276.1] Launcher appears to slow down Internet bandwidth

When running the Launcher, Internet bandwidth as measured by Google Speed Test in a Chrome browser drops from about 50 Mbps to around 0.5 Mbps. This is a Windows 10 machine using the Store version of C:M0. I thought there may have been a slowdown on previous releases but didn't measure it until now.

Starting C:MO via Quick Start bypasses this problem and map refreshes, particularly with Sentinel-2 data, seem to be much quicker.

I never got this working with the Steam version. Using Steam's 'Add desktop shortcut' just launches the launcher. And linking directly to command.exe says 'Steam client must be running' (which it is).

Thank you for the report. Could anyone experiencing this issue please send me (or preferably reply to this forum) with a copy of your log.txt file located in your My Documents/My Games/Command Modern Operations/Launcher Folder.

From there i can pass them onto our Operations team.

I've checked that and in my case I cannot reproduce using same Google Speed Test.

You could basically go into Task Manager -> Performance -> ethernet/Wifi and double-check, then there's Resource Monitor at the bottom -> Network and provide at least screenshot of Launcher taking bandwidth.

Thanks for trying to reproduce it. The Launcher is not taking bandwidth itself. It initially pulls down data from the websites indicated in the Launcher log file but that's it. It's kind of feels like Internet bandwidth is being throttled for every application running at the same time as Launcher. I tried bypassing the browser and just used ftp from a cmd/powershell window to download a large file. Same results.

Now it could be something in my laptop setup and Launcher is just triggering it.

FWIW, due to other behaviors that developed, such as invisible unit symbols unless God Mode was enabled, I went ahead and reinstalled the game. I am now running 1284.1. I conducted an internet bandwidth check throughout the installation and run stages:

2. "Tiny" Update
3. Update 1284.1

There was no discernible indication of an internet throttling issue at any point. So, it originally was probably a file corruption/installation issue to begin with.
