Chinese ports in basic supply

Post by ncc1701e »

In one of my PBEM, that's several turns that my Chinese ports are in basic supply (the red circles). I can't find an explanation for this. Does anyone have a clue?

You are overextended with supply either by distance or too many units.

take that china map and expand it 4x. That is what is looks like in WarPlan Europe. That is how large it is.

Oh I see. Losing Hong Kong was bad for my supplies. I will remove some air units to see if it improves the supply situation.

Air units are supply pigs...
Also they seem to get the last of the supplies in my testing as well as never say they are in basic supply which is rough because I forget about them.

When supply gets tight in China I remove all air...but rarely is that enough.
I suspect you are in trouble either way BUT having the units in port be in basic supply is 100% better than those in the front lines.
They don't need the reinforcements normally...nor the efficiency.
