Do Anti-torpedo weapons work?

I saw an oldish article about Rafael equipping the Indian Navy with a Anti-Torpedo Shield.
Do they work in real life? in CMO, once a torpedo's locked on to a sub or ship its over.
Can a anti-torpedo torpedo or a projected explosive device be modeled?
Do US Navy Ships & Subs use these or similar devices? or is a "Mum's the word"?

Real life? I don’t know. But the Anti-Torpedo Torpedo is present on one of the Nimitz or Ford class carriers in the game. I don’t remember which though.
