Unknown NATO symbol

Hey guys,

maybe somebody can point me to the passage in WP's manual which explains the NATO symbol marked in the attachment? It's the standard Infantry Symbol, but with two additional "legs".

USA was motorized, Germany had horses. I thought I would add a little flavor.
