Ignore order for the AI question

Post by PanzerMike »

Hi Alvaro,
The modding manual says this:
Ignore (Ignore) – The A.I. will not set map orders for this area. It can only be changed via script.

What is the radius of the ignore order? Just the one hex?

It is the Tactical Radius found under Read and Load Data. Noticed a typo in that section just now lol.

When that order is put on the map the A.I. will not use any of those hexes in the radius to do anything. They will be ignored. This is used when you don't want the A.I. going somewhere.

The one I use it for the most is in the 1939 scenario at hex 150,50. This is just west of the Maginot line.
I have a bunch of garrison orders on the Siegfried line so those units hold but the A.I. will take no action against it and focus going through Belgium and Holland. Without it the A.I. will keep trying to bang through the Maginot.

Ah, I think you mean the value in the picture (which says Range, but should say Radius).
