HELP! Unable to play as Japan

Post by tonyp118 »

I have been playing as the Allies for last year or so and now want to change to Japan. However I have run in to a problem. It won't play as Japan.

Playing scenario 1 with latest official Beta patch.

Have set up the game as follows:

Changes to the settings:

I then start the game as all goes well until I try and reopen the saved game. I can only play as Allies. Japan looks like this:

What am I doing wrong?

If that game was saved when you were playing as Allies, it will be at the start of the Allied turn, which is after the Japanese input has been done. You need to run one turn like that before you get to start your Japanese input on the next turn.

You set up the game against the Allied Computer. Entered your first turn as the Japanese and saved it.

Then you went out of the game completely and when you came back and started the save game
it was like this?

In this case before you start your saved game you want to check the main screen because the game
may, and usually will, default back to being set to the Japanese computer.

Just change it to the Allied computer before you load the saved game.

Thanks so much. Changed back to Allied Computer before opening saved game and worked like a charm. Many thanks for prompt reply. Really appreciated
