activate hex grid

Hello guys,

i cant find the option to activate the hexgrid,
like it is shown on the picture of the gamecoloroptions
in the preferences.

Can someone help?

There is no option for a hex grid toggle in Southern Storm. We are discussing this with the team.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Just to clarify, you're saying there is no way to show/hide the hexgrid in the game? Really? Or is there just no hotkey for it?

Correct, we don't have a hex grid in the game.

We're looking at options to support hex grids, either by releasing map graphics with a hex grid baked in (the square 1km grid is baked in the game's maps), or by adding an overlay rendering that hex grid.

In today's meeting, a couple of us noted we initially missed the hex grid, but after playing a bit, we do not miss it now. As William stated, we are looking at options for it for those who do.

Visually, I don't miss it but to be honest, I can't tell you the number of times I've clicked on the wrong grid when trying to move a unit.

I thought I would miss it, but after just a few turns of playing, I don't want to see it.

I’m fine without the hex grid personally, though I think it would make sense to have it present with a toggle; I’m not sure what inner workings make it difficult to overlay but I know a lot of players feel the need to see it.

Someone has a mod out with a hex grid on the maps. Check the Mods sub-forum.
