Motorising Inf Divs for Pathfinding

Post by vinnysix »

I motorize an ID for 1400 trucks and 3 AP at least once in each turn to push an ID out for Path Finding but not sure what the overall impact is in terms of truck usage and AP in the long term ... Any thoughts? Don't like to use Panzer groups but will motorize a standard Inf Div to conduct Line breach and punch hole with Path Finder so to speak...

When you do that you lose most of the trucks which are more valuable than your tanks as they help with supplying your units. It would be better to break down a Motorized Division (MD) into Regiments for pathfinding.

Acknowledged - but regiments dont provide ZOC to flip hexes and clear route - plus MPs are limited using Regts...
