Axis VS 1939 Ubermensch Opitmal AI

Post by misprit »

Playing against AI is a great way to learn how the game works. Since there is so few VS AI AARs here, I think its time to try a Ubermensch Optimal run to share some of my understandings of the game. I have now spent 106 hours on this game, and beginning to feel a bit confident about mechanism. So here we go :D

Settings
Steam v1.00.181
Europe 1039 Human control Axis, AI bonus exp Ubermensch, AI bonus effectiveness Optimal, AI Plan historical, diplomacy off

Grand Strategy
1939 Denmark(Turn-2 rush)
1939 early Netherland conquest(Turn-3 rush)
1940 Westfeldzug(Must end by Turn-18 1940.4.26)
1940 summer sealion(Turn-20 1940.5.24)
1940 summer Yugoslavia
1940 summer Egypt
1940 late summer greece
1941 early Barbarossa

Starting Gambits
I have a standard setup as Axis. Standard Tech choices. Image
Setting up for Danmark and Netherland rush means armor corps have to end turn on none zoc rail. Our plan for early sealion means we need to build landing ships right away. Germany shipyards are devoted to Bismark, and the fastest pace we can get 90 landing ships is by May 16,1940. The building priority would be landing ships*80(Sep1/Nov10/Nov24/Feb16)>paratrooper*1(Sep15)>armor*2(Sep29/Oct27)>air superiority*1(Nov10)>tacical air*1(May22), costing 25*8+180+360*2+250+300=1650PP, all can be managed by turn 7 Nov 24, after that you can do repairs & upgrades. Armors wouldn't arrive in time for war of France, we will have to manage without them. All newly build units are for Operation Sealion.

Invasion of Poland(Turn-1 1939.9.1)
Attack with all force before they can regroup. Remember south armor can join the assault but must be on rail when turn ends. Ideally, the situation should be as this.

I would expect a 3-4 turn polish campaign with no armor assistance.
