Building fortifications time delay

Post by Moonchild »

I've noticed that the building of fortifications by engineers, takes time depending on the "number-of-sides". However, the building of 1-side fortifications takes 70 days which is the same as with building fortifications with 2-sides. Then, the time increases proportionally (105 days etc).

Is this intentional or an oversight? It seems to me that 1-side fortifications should be 35 days.

This issue was brought up in a thread from 2021.

The answer seems to be....it's been in the game's code for so long that even Hubert can't recall why. To prevent fort spamming maybe?

Ok, thank you, I wasn't aware of this thread. I think that one-side forts should take less time though.
