Boot camp 2: Low ammo after setting up claymores question

Post by VonWulfen »

Hello all.
I am playing Bootcamp 2 and have set a number of IEDs on the perimeter of my position.
The inf units that set the IEDs are now low on ammo despite moving them back to Improved positions and within command range of the command unit.
Does this just mean they are low on explosives or are they also low on ammo?
How do I resupply them?
Cheers

Good question!

They are just conserving ammo for the moment, they can still attack and assault and fire, just at a reduced value.

When your Battalion HQ is near, they will help with the resupply process. The Battalion HQ needs to be stationary and in supply in order to start the supply process for your infantry platoons.

Keep in mind, that scenarios starts with the base ammo level quite low, but it will be increased later on when you have your supply trucks entering your Firebase.

Many thanks.
My trucks have already resupplied my firebase with an increase in ammo and arty ammo.
How close does my command unit need to be to an inf unit in order to resupply?

It is a die roll based, if you select the HQ and press the W key, or press the Show Command Range button on the toolbar (directly under the Map button) it will show you the effective command radius and range.

Many thanks again, sir.
So it is tied to command range as I suspected. The die roll aspect I have just read in the manual so all good now 👍🏻

Yes, for sure. Definitely related to the command range!
