More powerful DD's?

I've noticed that Allied DD's are inflicting 2-3 pts at a time to the German subs, without any anti-sub upgrades (March 1916) and not taking much in losses in return. Was there a change I missed? I had a 10 pt sub with 2 pips of experience and good supply/morale knocked down to 2 pts by a French and a British DD for 3 pts each, for the loss of 1 pt to the Brit, then a CVL for 2 pts. Didn't dive once.

There haven't been any changes that would render Submarines more vulnerable, quite the opposite in fact.

Is this in PBEM?

Yes, PBEM. My opponent has no anti-sub improvements, yet they are inflicting 2-3 hits per shot. Even grey low strength DD's are getting hits. My subs readiness is good and they are full strength. No sub improvements, but some were one and two pip experience.

Can't give you the id right now. I am locked out of PBEM++. I accidently deleted the Strategic Command Series folders located in "My documents". Now I can't log into PBEM++. Tried reinstalling the games; didn't work.

Subs take and deal more damage when they are on hunt mode and take and deal less damage when they are on silent mode (unless I'm confusing this with the WWII version of this game but I think it's true for both).

I sometimes find it unpredictable and confusing how much damage a destroyer does to a sub.
