Check for updates button

There was an auto update button on menu when game first came out. It disappeared after first update i believe. Now there is a check for updates button showing on update 1.05 but all i get is an error message when i try it , couldnt determine game version installed?

I can't speak for everyone, but in all the years I've been a Matrix customer I've never seen that update feature function as seems it should. It seems like there is always a hangup or error. So now I just head to the downloads page for patches or use a link if there is one provided when a new patch is announced.

For SC titles the version number is usually displayed in the lower right of the opening menu screen.

I've been on this forum since 2007 and I have never had the update work. I'm not sure why they have it.
