Tournament Update #7: Rules Update, End of Round 2, Start of Round 3, and Player Matchups

Post by MaximKI »

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to the victors of Round 2 for making it to Round 3!

Based on the player feedback to our Round 3 rules update, we are modifying the tournament in the following manner:

1. All players in Round 3: the Semi-finals will now play a set of two games, one for each side.

2. The victor will now be judged by the cumulative score from both games. The two top-scoring players will play in the Grand Finals, while the remaining two players will square off in the Small finals for 3rd place.

The Timeline:
3. Given the fact each round will consist of two games per player matchup, we will be extending the timeline for these games

4. Round 3 will now start on Friday, February 3 at 3:00 PM GMT and end on Monday, March 20 at 3:00 PM GMT.

Player Matchups:

821Bobo vs k62

Joch1955 vs beamslam

Organizing Your Match:
5. It's up to the players to decide how they would like to play their mirrored games, be it playing both simultaneously or sequentially. We suggest your reach out to your assigned opponent and agree on a method that works best for all parties.

6. We recognize that playing mirrored games may be exploitable in giving players an unfair advantage in information over their opponent's play style. As such, the enforcement of avoiding exploits shall be based on an honor system. If you become aware of an exploit that may give you an unfair advantage, please refrain from using it and contact your opponent, MaximKI, and Joel as soon as possible and inform them of the potential exploit.

Finally, for any disputes, questions, or concerns, the tournament judge, Joel, has final say on all matters.

Best of luck!
