How to mod the private economy?

Is there a way to decompile and change the game, if so how?
Especially i want to mess around with the private economy and make it more realistic.

Sorry, just had to answer, in order to update this damn forum program (because otherwise the thread is always marked as "unread", independent of how often I read the posts. :roll:
