Cant update SE (not Steam version)

I want to update SE , i have Version 1.11.00, when i go for update i get an error.

Message:
Error:
Unable to download file.
An error occured while trying to open an FTP file.

Btw: I s there an option to get a STEAM key ? Updating there is automatic and much more convenient.

Go to your 'My Page' & get your Steam Key.
