[1.1.3.5] Planet Fighter Bases M3 will not build interceptors or bombers

Late game. All research completed. Only just noticed my planetary defences were ineffective -there are no interceptors/bombers circling around any planet. Reloaded and validated game. No change. Carriers and Spaceports are good. Loaded in an old vanilla game into beta and same issue.

I also obsoleted all iterations and designed new models to no avail.

7-zip compressed save game file is too large to attach????

[edit] Changed thread header to latest beta. Not sure if this was happening in 1134, as I updated to 1135 halfway through game. Hope the thread change doesn't mess things up.

I started a new game and built a Mk1 base. Same issue.

Duplicated this problem. As on the Discord in Official Feedback:

1.1.3.5 Planetary Fighter Base not building or launching fighters
As noticed by LordZon on the Steam Forums, a colony with the Planetary Fighter Base isn't deploying fighters. I started a new galaxy (Tech Tier 7) to test it and immediately built the facility. It would take 20 minutes to fully build all 72 advanced fighters by my calculated estimation, based on ship cost against ship build speed of the colony and the actual build time of an escort at the colony. So I ran the game at full auto for 20 minutes at 4x speed (continuing past 40 minutes as I compose this and still no fighters), used the editor to make a pirate base just to make sure the fighters weren't hidden in the facility waiting to launch, and no fighters emerged.
Meanwhile, ships with fighter bays had made their full compliments and used them without a problem.
Oh, I forgot to mention. The design screen showed that 72 of the fighters were made, which means they were at least queued to be built by the colony. This was before I had any ships.

I had a similar problem https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 6&t=394600
It was resolved after clearing out many redundant fighter/bomber design names.
Apparently the auto-retrofit got confused by the tangle of design names.
curious if this applies in your situation as well...

I saw the post about clearing out the other designs and did try that. It didn't work. I only cleared the active designs tho, not the inactive.
