My save games keep reappearing everytime I delete them?

Trying to save some disk space and my SC saves take up a lot of space. So clearing a lot of them out. But the next day when I restart my computer all of the saves are back again. Is this a Steam thing? What is happening and how can I delete them for good? Lol

Ok so it does appear to be Steam. There is a check box in the properties general section that keeps save games in the steam cloud for SC. Which is fine if the space is in the cloud and not my computer. Because when I delete the save games on my computer I get a lot of space back. I thought the point of the cloud was to save computer space by keeping the saves on the cloud and not your computer? That is not happening? What am I missing here?

So unchecking this I can delete the saves and they will not reappear on my computer thus saving me disk space permanently.

Hmm. Maybe this is why I tend to shun Steam. A platform named after a vaporous cloud that could dissipate at any moment never instilled much confidence in me.
