Questions after recently returning to the game

Post by Christolos »

So I took a hiatus from the game for awhile and starting playing again. I notice a few things that may have been changed:

1. Air units, when attacking, no longer make the aircraft engine sound when attacking, only the explosion like sound when causing damage. Was this gotten rid of, and if yes, why?...or is this as bug?

2. I seem to remember US forces in the Pacific starting out with a sub or two...or at least getting some early on from the production queue. Now the US have no sub at the beginning of the game nor any in production all the way as far as Dec 1942...Was this changed so that the US have to actively produce its subs, or am I remembering wrong?

No clue on your first question but when the USA enters the war 2 strength 8 subs appear. 1 at Midway & 1 at Guam.

I've just run a test using the Steam release version of this game, and the sounds are working as expected.

I wonder if you may have (accidentally) modded any files. Perhaps the best thing will be to uninstall and reinstall the game.

Ok and thanks, I had forgotten that the US auto gets some subs after it joins.

All I did was install the latest patch after having not played for awhile...and the last time I played, I remember hearing the engine sound of attacking/intercepting aircraft, before the combat effects sound that preceded the damage inflicted/sustained...
