Air Force PO Question

Post by scout1 »

Having the PO run my air ops while I continue to learn this game ........

One question though ....

Playing Two Week in Normandy as the Allies .... My opponent mentioned a lack of air interdiction for his units ...
I checked and the air ops PO had all aircraft on rest ... (guessing they needed it after the opening turn ....

During my turn I turned them all (but the bombers) on interdiction mission. Finished my turn and sent it to my opponent ...
When I got his turn back, I went and check my air assets .... They were all back to rest ....

So at what point during my turn does the air ops PO step in and counter my mission selection ? At the close of my turn ?
During my opponents turn ?

I know I can turn off air ops PO to avoid this, but just curious if I can override select choices without taking authority of air ops in its entirety ......

I tried out the Air manager when designing my scenario, and yeah I don't recommend using it. I'm not an expert with air force stuff, but I don't think it's that good. There are guaranteed problems with scripted AIs, but the air manager is just terrible. The actual AI does better with it for some anomalous reason. I just recommend doing it manually.
