Resolution & Graphical Glitches

Hello all,

Figured I would put out a quick post to see if anyone had any solutions with my tech issues.

I am experiencing resolution or graphical glitches. I have 34-Wide Screen Monitor, Windows 11 system. My monitor supports 2560X1440. I applied the appropriate switches (i think) to enable to game to work with my monitor and I can get it almost full screen, but have to autohide my taskbar, however weird graphical issues keep happening. I have to alt tab anytime I want to end order phase to allow me to see end turn button, I also have to do this with combat reports for any combat that happens. My screen flickers quite a bit and my desktop background will show on the game in small squares and then disappear. I have the latest patch and have never experienced issues with any other game. It makes the game essentially unplayable.

This is the switch line I am using : "C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition_noLLA.exe" -fd -pxf2560 -pyf1440 -archive -deepColor -multiaudio -dd_sw -altFont

Any help would be appreciated as I am out of ideas.

You're running full screen (fd switch). Try changing it to wd (windowed mode).

Give this a try: -skipVideo -deepColor -multiaudio -archive -altFont -fd and remove the rest. I have 32 inch and no need for windows mode for me. If does not work yes try windows mode. Make a shortcut of the exe and put in the shortcut target line: "E:\WITPAE\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -fd -skipVideo -deepColor -multiaudio -archive -altFont

However, now the resolution is super low, not at all my native 2560x1440.

Try a fresh install, update to 1126a or 1126b, then use SeaBee to install the game. Then adjust if necessary.

No go, Seabee link no longer available. I did a fresh install and have latest beta patch.

I threw the files to someone on discord, maybe check there Hex! Or the WITP-AE discord I can throw it there .

Try with this again. -pxf2560 -pyf1440

As it is an older game it just takes a lot of fiddling with the different switches to find the right settings for different folks.
