Romanian support

Post by havoc1371 »

Playing a game against another player where Romania entered the war the same turn Russia signed the armistice, making Romania's entry useless to the Entente, because Russia remained their parent major power, supplying only 10 mpp's a turn to spend on Romania. The CP player had all the troops necessary to quickly overwhelm Romania, while it couldn't even replace its losses. You would think that if Romania enters the war, the rest of the Entente would begin to support them. It would be nice if there was an "event" created for this situation, providing an option for France or Britain to be the parent major power to Romania.

Having their Major change is not a possibility within the engine as it stands, unfortunately.

However, a question does arise as to who might have been able to send them supplies in order to boost their income?

This would of course depend on the situation at the time, though to avoid complications perhaps a simple solution is to have some extra MPPs representing weapons transported in from Russia.

Hi Bill - if you develop a script like that to send some MPPs to "about to be orphaned minors", then Montenegro would be a candidate as well. They would benefit from having a few extra MPPs from Serbia just before it falls. Once surviving Serbian units become Free Units, their costs are paid by their new protecting power, so any remaining cash in the kitty which the Serbian government takes into exile is useless. Some of it might as well be sent to Montenegro.

While it did create a shi88y situation for you, it was ironically Historical as the entry of Romania proved good for the Germans than the Russians due to the immense Wheat and Oil they obtained from the easy conquest.
